Ethics

We believe that handmade products are an important agent of change. They promote a better quality of life for more people, preserve unrivaled traditions that could be lost, and beautify our world.

País Textil is a business group that works on two fronts: marketing and training. Cumpi Camayoc (www.cumpicamayoc.com), weaving teacher in Quechua, is the company that is dedicated to the training of artisans, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, financed by solidarity companies. País Textil is the company and brand that sells products made by the artisans we have trained.

Through Cumpi Camayoc we promote the formation of autonomous workshops, managed by the artisans themselves. We train in the improvement of textile techniques, associativity and administration of small productive workshops. We encourage the practice of traditional textile techniques, as a high cultural value and a competitive advantage. We promote formal work with fair work standards and healthy working conditions.

When we work with artisans who have their own workshops, which have not been implemented by Cumpi Camayoc, we seek that they comply with fair work standards and healthy conditions.

We give special emphasis to working with women. We are a company founded by women and most of the workers are women. But the fundamental reasons why we support women’s work are twofold: The index of households headed exclusively by women in Peru – who were abandoned by their partners with their children – is very high and requires support; Furthermore, any money given to a woman has an immediate impact on her family’s living standards; better nutrition and health. And then better shoes, clothes, and school supplies for the kids. We also do it because we love working with women with whom we are always laughing.

 

Environment

Although we are not a company that has certificates of ecological standards, we are aware of the importance of contributing to caring for the environment and the health of our buyers: some of our policies are:

  • We manufacture products to last over time, contributing to the lower consumption of textile fibers and the entire chain of mechanical and human energy that is spent in obtaining and processing them.
  • We promote manual, artisan work, which contributes to a slow consumer trend. Promoting handmade products allows income to a greater number of people and helps to slow down the use of machines and the environmental damage that their massive use generates.
  • We work mainly with natural, recyclable and biodegradable fibers, such as cotton and alpaca that have AFIRM certificates for the non-use of toxic substances in processing.

Shipping

Our shipments to the United States of America and Canada have a flat rate of US 20 for purchases under USD 100.00. For purchases over USD 100 we have free shipping.. We ship all products with DHL; You will receive a link that will allow you to know where your order is from when it leaves our offices. Due to logistical delays due to the pandemic, your order must reach your hands in a maximum of 7 business days, which does not include weekends or holidays.

Shipping to Peru (regions and metropolitan Lima) is free. Shipments are made on Tuesdays and Fridays and in the case of Lima they arrive the same day. Orders outside the city of Lima will be delivered within a maximum period of 7 days, excluding holidays or weekends.

We appreciate that before placing your order you take into account import costs, local taxes or other types of charges that may be added to your order when entering your country. It is impossible for us to know what the charges are in each country and therefore we are not responsible for them.

The COVID-19 pandemic has generated delays in the shipments of our products, since in each country the opening or closing situation was different. In some cases, our shipments have been delayed by rain or even a cyclone. If due to any of these circumstances we are unable to meet the established deadlines, we will appreciate your understanding. We cannot therefore be held responsible for the delay.  

Payments

For payments in Peru we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners and bank transfers. For payments from abroad we accept Paypal.

Return

If you are not satisfied with the product we send you, you can return it within 5 days of receipt. The product must be in the same conditions in which it was delivered, including packaging. And it must not have been used. Shipping costs are not subject to return. Keep in mind that you have to pay the shipping costs for the return to Peru. When we receive the piece / pieces, the cost of the product will be reimbursed within a maximum period of 15 days.

If the product we send you were any imperfections, you must send us a photograph within 2 days of being delivered so that we can proceed with the return process. If the return proceeds, the full amount paid will be refunded.

Any damage to the products we ship, due to use, is the responsibility of the buyers. We appreciate seeing our care and washing recommendations here.

All the designs, videos, photos, graphics and logos that are on this page are the property of País Textil SAC and cannot be reproduced without our authorization. Our business partners may reproduce written or visual information with prior permission. Request it at contact@paístextil.com, we will be happy to give you authorization and send you additional photos of the products you sell.
